Fashion Packed Milan!

We have returned from Milan in Italy! It was great, Milan is known for its expensive designer shops and having an event called ‘Fashion Week’ there. We walked the streets of Milan, window-shopping at all the fabulous designer clothes! I even bought myself a pair of designer shoes. And i also treated Catch to a new outfit!

After that we took a trip to Duomo, which is a very famous Cathedral in Milan. We even got to take an elevator up to the roof and had the chance to walk along the roof of the cathedral and explore the sights. I nearly dropped my hat though! Catch was rather nervous about it, but she got used to it. The views of the mountains were incredible.

Catch and i thought we would go and relax after that in Parco Sempione, which is a beautiful scenic park with a Castle there which contains several Museums inside of it. We really enjoyed the atmosphere there, we both didn’t want to leave!

We are missing Milan already, but at least we have our designer shoes and clothing as a souvenir!

Hello, Brussels!

I’m back off my adventure to beautiful Brussels in Belgium! I had the opportunity to see the attraction sites, and eat all the food I could. Brussels has many delicious chocolates, waffles and of course Brussels Sprouts!

I really enjoyed visiting ‘Mini- Europe’ in Brussels it had a range of exciting things for me to explore! I thought I would be adventurous and go to the water park there. I’m so glad I bought my swimming trunks! I loved the slides there but I was nervous to go on them but once I tried it I couldn’t stop going on them, it was great!

I thought id try out the nightlife in Brussels and see what was on offer.  So I took a visit down to Grand Place. I loved the cobblestone streets, the ancient cathedrals, flowered lampposts and the shops and restaurants there. It was such a relaxing atmosphere, I loved it!

I wish I were back there now!

La France!

Me and Catch have just came off our first Holiday together! Catch is my girlfriend by the way. We had a  fantastic adventure in Brest, France! We thought we would start off by taking an adventure around the historic side of Brest and view one of the main historical attractions in Brest which is the Tanguy Tower, it is one the of the oldest remaining monuments in France. It was bombed previously during World War 2 in the 14th Century and was used as a lookout passage back then. I still found it very interesting to see such a historic building but Catch didn't enjoy it that much!

After this Catch wanted to visit The Museum of Fine arts, which was destroyed in 1941 by the World War 2 bombings, but rebuilt in 1964. It brought out the creative side in us both. There were some fascinating paintings that we really enjoyed looking at. I might even look into painting some myself when I find the time!

The main highlight of our trip was Oceanopolis, which is a large aquarium containing thousands of underwater creatures. It was fantastic, We saw penguins, sharks, turtles, any thing you name it. I got the opportunity to even feed a penguin, but it tried to eat me instead! Catch just laughed at me. As well as this we saw a fish that was identical to Finding Nemo!We would both  love to take a visit back there and see all the underwater creatures again!

Where will we be visiting next time?

Düsseldorf...take two!

Guten Tag!

I am back in Düsseldorf! I have learnt lots of German for my trip and have tried it out on the Western Body Hardware's distributors when I met up with them this afternoon, they seemed impressed! I’m just about to embark on an adventure to Altstadt, which is famous for Alt beer!

So far the weather has been lovely, I hope it stays that way for my visit to the Rhine Tower. I'm a bit scared because it is 160 meters high but I’m sure it will be worth it to get the perfect view of the city.

Catch has made me promise to buy her a new coat from the German Market after seeing mine from my last visit. I will have to return there later with my haggling hat on! I feel that this trip is going to be as memorable as the last!

Latch “slams” down in NYC

I've just returned from America, where I met some of Weston Body Hardware's distributors and had the chance to do some sightseeing around New York City. With the first stop being the Empire State and my slight aversion to heights, it was the first challenge of the day, but the view was worth it! Followed by the Rockefeller Center and Statue of Liberty I really have experienced some of the highlights of New York.

FAO Schwarz was my personal favourite, where I made some American friends (literally!) at the toy workshop. After one tiring day, I jumped on the subway and headed back to the hotel to get changed. I couldn't visit New York, without going to Broadway and seeing a show! Of course, I went to see Mary Poppins as I can relate to a lot of the toys in the show, one day I could be on that stage?! Or not...

Back in sunny * cough * England now, but who knows where my next journey will take me...?

Romance in Paris

Bonjour!

I've just returned from a fabulous trip to Paris and I have some news... I've been keeping it quiet for a while but I think it's about time I tell you all...I have a girlfriend, her name is Catch and well she really is quite the catch!

As they say Paris is the most romantic city in the world and I have to agree. Whilst in Paris we enjoyed a candlelit dinner for two beneath the Eiffel Tower (although I'll have to admit I wasn't brave enough to try the snails!) and then we took a romantic walk along the Seine. We also visited Notre Dame and admired the beautiful architecture before heading over to the Louvre to check out the artwork.

Whilst we were there Paris Fashion Week was in full swing and I must say everyone looked very stylish. Thanks to some of my high up contacts we managed to get front row tickets to one of the top designer catwalks which was great fun. I'm definitely going to be the best dressed teddy in town after this!

I was at the Dam Square!

After landing in Amsterdam, I was whisked off straight away to meet up with some more Weston Body Hardware distributors, before having the chance to check out some of Amsterdam’s well known city sights.

In the city that celebrates National Windmill Day, visiting a windmill was naturally my first choice. Up close, it was a magnificent sight and I even had a sneak peek inside whilst I climbed to the top.

Afterwards, I went to the Dam Square (and I am not being abrasive, it’s actually called the Dam Square) to have a little rest, before I headed off to the canals of Amsterdam. The city is considered the “Venice of the North,” so I jumped on a canal cruise and watched the bustling city from the calm of the river. I then finished the day by going to the Rijksmuseum, the largest museum in the Netherlands.

I was going to visit a place called the red light district, but apparently red lights can damage a teddy’s eyes…? Instead I went to a restaurant and had Forgotten Soup, I can’t remember exactly what was in it, but it was delicious!

I wonder where I will visit next…?

Sprechen sie Deutsch?

Here I am sitting at Düsseldorf International Airport with my unusually large suitcase. After arriving in Germany, I met some more of Weston Body Hardware’s distributors and then had the opportunity to go and visit some of the beautiful sights.

Neuschwanstein in Bavaria, is the world’s most famous castle and I can see why, it was beautiful. I also had the chance to see the breathtaking beauty of the Alps and relax on a river cruise along the Rhine.

For me, the ultimate part of the trip was visiting the German Markets. It was completely manic and I think at some point a woman stepped on me. However, I managed to escape and even haggle for a new coat and hat!

I am now learning German, as I hope to return one day. Just need to brush up on my pronunciation!

Bear-ly standing…

Adding Finnish-ing touches.

I’ve been on yet another exciting adventure, this time to Helsinki. I was introduced to the Finland based Weston Body Hardware distributors and then discovered some of the delights of Helsinki.

I thought I should tap into my cultural side and decided to visit an art gallery, only problem was my height… I had pretty bad neck cramp by the end of the day. I didn’t let it stop me though! I managed to make time to visit Helsinki Zoo and apart from a hair-raising moment involving a lion, it was a great place to visit. I even picked up a few animal souvenirs!

After visiting the art gallery and zoo, there was one stop left: a visit to an open-air museum. Sadly, that afternoon it rained (the only time when an open-air museum isn’t the greatest of ideas).

Ah well, it was still great fun and hopefully I can visit another Scandinavian country at some point in the future.

Here’s hoping…
